Jake is reportedly a front-runner for one of two male lead roles, Ian, in the movie adaptation of The Host, written by Stephenie Meyer who is best known for writing the Twilight series. (Fun fact: Jake also auditioned for the role of Edward.) Saoirse Ronan, who Jake worked with in The Lovely Bones, has already been cast as the female lead, Melanie Snyder. The movie will be directed by Andrew Niccol, who also wrote the script and most recently directed In Time, starring Justin Timberlake. Actors up for the other male lead role are, depending on how the casting goes, Max Irons, Kit Harington and Liam Hemsworth. Niccol wants to start shooting the movie as early as February, with a tentative release date set for 29 March 2013.

No word yet on Jake, but it’s a good sign they’ve got their director and Logan signed on. Hopefully, more news will follow soon!
Thanks to Andreas-ri , we have two high-quality promo pics of Jake for Angel of Death for you!

(click pictures to be taken to the gallery)
Angel of Death is a ten-part web series that ran over the course of ten days in 2009. The web series centers around a serial killer, Eve (Zoë Bell). After getting a knife through the head on a job, she starts hallucinating and gets haunted by her victims. If you can get your hands on it, I suggest watching it! It’s really good, a little dark but Jake is amazing. He plays Cameron Downes, a pretty mean, arrogant and twisted character.
It seems like the sequel to Percy Jackson and the Lightning Thief is finally a go! Production is excepted to start as early as this summer! Scott Alexander and Larry Karaszewski have been hired to write the script. Logan Lerman and the main cast are expected to return. (no official word on Jake, but Luke is in the second book, so I guess he’ll be in the movie too!)
