Sorry for the lack of updates recently, but I have great news for you! We have found someone to pass the torch onto. Our new admin, Sprite, has committed herself to keeping you updated on Jake’s career, alongside me. Becca has decided to step down permanently.

Hi all,

As you may have noticed, we haven’t been terribly active in trying to keep you updated on what Jake’s doing (although news is slim to begin with), but because of that and because we both have other things going on, Becca and I have decided it’s time for us to step down. We don’t want to actually shut down the site because that would be a shame, so we’re looking for someone to take over. If you’re interested, please e-mail us at jakeabelonline@hotmail.com for more information regarding how much it costs to run a site, how the site works, etc. It’d be great if you have some experience running a fansite but not necessary (let us know if you do and which site). Becca and I had no clue what we were getting ourselves into either and we can help you if you have any questions in the beginning.

Sorry for the absolute lack of updates, but we haven’t been able to find any interesting and new information for you. Seeing as how it’s May, we do have a new Picture of The Month for you! Do you like it?

Jake Abel Online is turning one today!! We can’t believe how quickly this year has flown by. It feels like yesterday that we were discussing the idea of the site and here we are, a year later! We’ve noticed a steady increase in the number of hits we’ve gotten over the past few months, which makes us happy! That means people are finding the site useful and that Jake is getting more popular!

We wish we had something cool to post, but we don’t. We do, however, have a suggestion. Seeing as how we’ve been getting more hits, we were wondering if you guys would find it useful if there was a forum where we can all hang out and talk about Jake and whatever else you want to talk about. Would you be interested in that? If enough people are interested, we’ll try to set up this weekend. Let us know in the comments!

On another note, we’ve noticed the media section is pretty out-dated. We’ll work on getting that updated, as well as getting the icons for our affiliates back up. and of course, this year, we’ll be keeping you updated with what Jake’s up to, what else are we here for?

Anyway, thanks for sticking with us and we hope you’ll continue to find the site useful!! Here’s to another year! (and a couple of more after that)

We have a stunning new lay-out, made by the talented Jessica from Night Blooming Designs ! We were going to put this lay-out up for our one year anniversary in March, but we simply couldn’t wait to show you! There are still a couple of things that need fixing in the sidebar on the right, but we’ll get to that soon! Also, if you discover any links that don’t work, or any problems with the lay-out, let us know!

The last couple of days we’ve gotten several e-mails asking us if Jake is on Twitter. The answer is YES, Jake does, in fact, have a Twitter account: @MrJakeAbel , ( confirmed by Allie ). However, Jake used his Twitter to promote Allie’s Blog for SunglassHut’s Full Time Fabulous contest so we’re not sure if he actually plans on using his Twitter now that the contest is over. Still, now is the time to follow him and send him a tweet about whatever it is you’ve always wanted to tell him! (Maybe all the love will convince him to stay and tweet! We can try!)

I hope you’re all enjoying your holidays and these last two days of 2010! Has this year flown by or what? Anyway, for the last time, we’d like to draw your attention to the fact that Allie, Jake’s girlfriend, is a finalist in Sunglass Hut’s Full Time Fabulous contest which has run all of this month and will run up to tomorrow night! If you haven’t already, check out this fashion savvy girl’s blog and 5 star her posts. If not for us, if not for her, then do it for Jake because he asked for our help so nicely! (See video on the right side of this post!).

To give you a place to start, check out her fourth assignment: Don we not our Lame Apparel, where she talks about Christmas sweaters and uploaded a video of herself, beating up a Christmas sweater that briefly features Jake. Assignment 4.
