In related news, as we posted earlier, I am Number Four was the favorite to top box office during the Presidents Day long weekend. Unfortunately, the predicitions didn’t come true. I am Number Four ended up in third place ($22,6M), following behind Unknown ($25.6M) and Gnomeo and Juliet ($24.8M – week 2).

Has anyone seen the movie yet?
I agree, Jake was amazing! :) He does need to get lead roles. I’d like to see him in more indie movies, like Tru Loved.

I think the reason the movie didn’t beat out those others is that it’s okay as a teeny-bopper film, but has no real substance. The author even said something like how he wanted it to be the next Twilight, and if that’s your aspiration, your film can’t be that great. It isn’t bad, per-se, but not that awesome. Jake, however, played his part amazingly. As far as characters go, he was only in the sidelines, but I think he was one of the best actors in the film – very genuine in his role. He really should get more roles where he’s the main character or at least ones where he gets more screentime. His acting blew Pettyfer out of the water. :P
